DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

Yes, require appointments to shop at Heart to Heart Bride! Booking an appointment ensures that we will have a Stylist available to work with you one-on-one and a fitting room reserved for you. To request your appointment please click here.

How long are your appointments?

We offer several different appointment options for bridal that range from 2-2.5 hours. Mothers dress/Special Occasion appointments are 1 hour long.

What is a Virtual Consultation?

A virtual consultation is a quick meeting over Zoom that we usually do the week of your appointment where we learn more about you, your love story, and your wedding, and help you choose 3-4 gowns to start your appointment with! It is also a great time to get all of your questions answered and ease your nerves about your appointment. Virtual consultations are available with all of our appointment options.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Panties are a must to maintain sanitary standards! We do not keep bras in stock, so please bring a strapless bra with you if you would like to wear one during your appointment. Shoes are not necessary, but if you know the height that you want to wear on your wedding date, it can’t hurt to bring a pair of heels that height!

If there are any special people that you need by your side when you say yes, please make sure to book your appointment at a time when they can come! Finding your wedding dress is often easier than you think, and you won’t want them to miss your moment :)

The most important thing to bring is an open mind and excitement to find your wedding dress! We can’t wait to help you find your dream dress!

HOW MANY PEOPLE SHOULD I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

We suggest bringing only your closest, most supportive family and friends to your appointment. In our experience, we have found that brides can easily get overwhelmed by too many opinions. It is also important to bring anyone with you that you would like there when you say yes! Don’t miss your moment because someone isn’t there :) For Free Upgraded Bridal Appointments and Celebrate & Graze Bridal Appointments we ask brides to respect a 6-adult guest maximum. For Private Suite Appointments we ask that brides respect a 8-10 guest maximum. Additional guests can be included virtually! We strongly suggest that small children and babies do not attend appointments.

CAN I BRING CHILDREN WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

While we love children, we know a 2-hour appointment can be difficult for them. This can be a distraction for you and your guests and make it difficult to enjoy the moment of finding your bridal gown. If childcare is not available and a little one must come to the appointment, we ask that they remain seated or in the lap of an adult during the appointment for their own safety and as a courtesy to the other brides shopping for their dream dress.

WHAT is the PRICE RANGE of your wedding dresses?

Our wedding dresses range in price from $1,500-$7,200 and most are in the $1,600-$4,000 range. If you are hoping to stay under $1,500, we encourage you to check out our sister store Two Hearts Bridal for a larger selection in your price range.

Should I tip my Stylist?

This is totally up to you, but as with any other service, tips are always appreciated! When checking out with a credit card you will be offered the option to add a tip and our Stylists accept cash tips as well!

What is a trunk show?

A trunk show is a weekend, sometimes 2 weekends, when a designer sends a portion of their collection, or sometimes their entire collection, just for the weekend! This gives our brides an opportunity to try on dresses that won’t normally be in our store. A trunk show is also the only time a designer allows us to discount their dresses! When you make your appointment for a trunk show, you definitely want to make sure you are ready to purchase your wedding dress. The dresses will only be in store for a limited time, and you don’t want to miss out on those discounts and incentives!

Do you offer payment plans?

At Heart to Heart Bride, we require payment in full before any special orders are placed. This secures the order for the bride because she then owns the dress and/or accessories. It also helps us be financially secure, therefore securing delivery of the bride’s dress and/or accessories. DO YOU OFFER ALTERATIONS?

We do not do in house alterations, but we have a list of great seamstress options in Rochester, Buffalo, & Syracuse areas. You are also more than welcome to go to any seamstress you choose; we just encourage you to make sure their specialty is altering bridal gowns as it is a very specialized skill.

Where do we park?

There is parking all around our building at 1170 Ridge Road. Please do not park directly in front of our neighboring businesses. There is ample parking on both sides of our building, as well as around the back of our building.

CAn we bring champagne?

We kindly ask that no outside food or drinks are brought into the store. We now have a liquor license and sell champagne by the glass and by the bottle in our Celebration Lounge!

can we bring snacks?

We kindly ask that no outside food or drinks are brought into the store. We have charcuterie available with appointment upgrades, as well as complimentary water and coffee in our Celebration Lounge.

do we need to remove our shoes?

We kindly ask that shoes are removed when it is raining, snowing, or generally wet, salty or muddy outside. We try to keep our store as clean as possible to keep our dresses and our brides’ dresses as clean as possible. We have surgical booties available for those who are unable to remove their shoes. Please feel free to bring your own slippers!

how long does it take to order a wedding dress?

The easiest answer is that it varies. Dresses can be in stock and ready to ship from the designer’s warehouse and arrive in a few days or you could need a customization and that could take 6+ months. Most dresses take on average 4-5 months to order. We recommend ordering a wedding dress at least 10 months before your wedding so you have time to take advantage of all options, have some buffer time, and have time for alterations. If you have 6 months or less until your wedding, we suggest booking your appointment at our sister store, Two Hearts Bridal, where we sell all of our gowns out of our collection!

when should i start shopping for my wedding dress?

Whenever you are ready to purchase your dress! For some brides that is 2 years before their wedding. For others it’s a few months before. Either way, it’s best to not shop and try on dresses before you are financially and emotionally ready to commit to a dress. Styles change frequently and dresses sell off the rack and get discontinued, so you always want to be prepared to find the one!

How many bridal appointments should I make?

We always suggest taking wedding dress shopping one dress and one store at time. Booking multiple appointments in one day or even one weekend might sound fun, but every single weekend we see brides doing that who are overwhelmed and exhausted by decision fatigue. It is best to do your research and find the store that best suits your style, your price point, has your size in stock to try on, and can work with your timeline. Start with the best store for you and go from there! You can always book more appointments if you don't find your dress at that first store. Finding your dress is a lot less complicated than most brides think, but you have to have an open mind and an open heart to finding your dress :)

What happens if I gain or lose weight?

Heart to Heart Bride is not responsible for the replacement cost of a dress or the additional cost of alterations if the bride gains or loses weight, gets pregnant, has surgery and/or has changes in physique. It is best to order your wedding dress when you are happy with your current weight and maintain that through your wedding day.

Due to the nature of our business and our manufacturers policies, we do not allow returns or exchanges.
